Imass Automatic Information Update System (AIUS)

Using Imass AIUS, updates to information managed within the Imass Central Management System (CMS) can be distributed automatically on a routine basis (eg. daily, weekly or monthly) to in-vehicle MDT’s, Fire Station PC’s, Fire Control, etc.  Priority update facilities are also available should the Brigade need to distribute specific information between routine updates.  This gives personnel immediate access to up to date information.  Facilities to consolidate the log files generated on the Imass VMDS are also provided.

The AIUS solution is designed to work with the full range of networking infrastructures typically available within Fire Brigades, ranging from full Wide Area and Local Area Networks using cable or wireless LAN facilities to none.  The AIUS has been designed to make best use of the facilities available, to allow a seamless move from one method to another or to allow a mixed approach to be used.  The product can be made available on a site licence basis to facilitate this.  It is also available for installation on laptop computers.

AIUS is designed to suit the needs of Fire Brigades.  If an appliance is mobilised while it is being updated, the solution is intelligent enough to simply re-start the update process when the appliance returns to base, however long it has been away.  A simple visual indication is given by the VMDS to show whether it is able to carry out the update.

For more information, please contact either Andy Kerr or Paul Warner on 0191 213 5555.
